Association for Tibet

Association for Tibet is non-governance and non-profit association of citizens, with interest in Tibet, Tibet culture or theirs budhismus.  The fundamnental target of association is  to preserve traditional spiritual values of Tibet.

An indigenous traditional culture of Tibet is now often the inspiration of the West, appealing counterpart of stressful consumerism, opposite the invocation of material values. Offering humility, compassion, calm the mind and prefers spiritual values.

However, Tibetans are now in a complicated situation. They deserve not only attention but also the support of the world; we are specialized in the cultural co-operation.

Tibet - whether understood ethnographical, academic study or historically - is now found not only under the authority of the People's Republic of China, but also encroaching on the territory of Bhutan, Nepal and India.

Zanskar and Ladakh region (called Little Tibet), sitauted north of the main Himalayan ridge,  is part of India, the state Jammu and Kashmir.                                                                              Residents of the area speak a dialect of Tibetan language (written Ladakhi is entirely consistent with the written Tibetian language), they are the same race as the people of central Tibet, they live the same way.

Ladakh is a good example of religious tolerance, in addition to Buddhists, Muslims live (mostly Kashmiris), Hindu (Indian soldiers and administrative officials). In Leh town (center of the upper valley of the Indus), several Buddhist buildings, a mosque, a Hindu shrines  and the Christian Church Missions of the Moravian Brothers, who have run the school there.

The Indian government provides religious freedom, but livelihoods are limited and the rescue conservation of sacral monuments has almost no funds. That is why we feel the need to engage in support of Ladakhis and their culture especially.
